Meta titles and meta descriptions:
Meta titles and meta descriptions are required for every website page, job, event, news article etc. If you do not fill out the meta-data you will recieve an error and not be able to publish the page. These are used by external search engines such as Google. These are crucial to ensure our pages can be found on easily on search engines.
Meta titles- the meta titles will change the name of the tab that sits at the top of the browser. By default this tab with say 'the page name | Royal Flying Doctor Service'.
Meta description- the meta description is used by the search engine to give the short blurb about a website that we see under the search results. This should be a concise description of what the page is about as well as being inviting and engaging so people will click through. Try to include the keywords about the page.
Meta description tags generally should be approximately 150-160 characters long so the whole tag fits on Search Engine Results Pages when it is displayed and people can read it at a quick glance.
