The RFDS are working to improve the Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) of our website. It is important for our site SEO to be optimised so that the RFDS website appears as a top search result when people are looking for our services.
There are a number of ways we can improve the SEO of our site and a number of measures we have implemented to ensure our site SEO is performing well. This includes keeping our content up to date, deleting old pages and outdated information, providng alternate text for all images and including Meta-data on all content.
Best Practice Instructions to update Meta Data:
In the backend, check every page has an appropriate meta title & description.
Meta Title: Brief Title for the page. Should be less than 70 characters. Try and include your state name so it is unique from other States pages.
Meta Description: Brief description of what content will be found on the page, try and include state name to differentiate from other states pages.
First Paragraph: Try and include some keywords about the page content in the first paragraph on the page.
