A lot of work has gone into making sure that persons are well directed on our RFDS website and end up in the correct place.
When a person lands on the RFDS Home page they are greeted with a pop up which asks them where they reside.
If they click onto their local state they are then moved onto the RFDS micro-state for that state - such as Victoria, Queenslands or Western Australia. If they wish to then return to the national Home page they can do that by clicking on the state selector which is on every page of the website and clearly communicates where they are:

If a person follows an external link to a specific page on the RFDS website they will go automatically to that page and not get the pop-up map.
As an example, if a person followed a link to a research page published by the Federation Office they will be directed to the Australia-wide national website. If they choose to make a donation as a result of what they have read they will still have the option to choose which RFDS company they wish to donate to.If a person leaves the website and returns at a later point, they will still receive the pop-up asking where they reside, but it will also ask if they wish to return to the micro-site they were on previously (ie. Queensland, or Tasmania, etc.).
